One of the highlights while in Duluth was that Jack and I met up with my mom's dear friend Laurie. It just so happens that she works at Scholastica (where my sister went). It was a real healing time for me because the last time I was on that campus was for my sister's memorial service back almost 3 years ago. The neat thing was that we took Jack to the gym, which is right where my sister played both volleyball and basketball. There was Jack trying to shot the ball and dribble left-handed, just like Lindi. Gosh, I wish Jack was able to meet her.
Thank you, Laurie!

I was wondering if you guys made it back ok with all the flooding in Iowa. Great to see these pictures - especially the one of Jack in the gym with his bb. It does bring back the memories of Lindi and her time here. Hope to meet up with you again up at Timbuktu sometime this summer.

Amy- i am so glad that you were able to go to CSS with Laurie. I hope this helps with the l-o-n-g healing process. Lindi sure was a neat girl.... Think of all the stories Jack will hear about her (and your mom) when he gets older! I am reminded of one story in particular involving ice cream, pizza, your mom and a car wash!
Thanks for sharing this part of your trip! xoxo
