Monster Feet

My 6th graders saved our Kleenex boxes so we could make monster feet with Jack and Henry.

Here's the process in pictures:

After Steve covered the openings with purple duct tape, the boys got to paint them. Jack was a little neat in his painting:

Henry had mixed all his paint into a big mess, but his boxes turned out cute!

Easter Eggs

Our Easter plans changed at the last minute. We traveled up to Cook for the long weekend, but before we left we had to have Easter with Kim. She came over for supper and we dyed Easter eggs. Too much fun. Since we don't eat hard boiled eggs, or I should say I am the only one who will eat them I decided to dye raw eggs. What's the worse case, a broken egg? We only broke 3 eggs so that's not too bad. And yes, dumped over one of the colors of dye. Here are some pictures from our fun evening.

They came with bonus shrink wrap....we used the blow dryer to get them to stick...

Dancing with the Stepecs

This is a crazy dance invented by some UNI guys. You will typically see it during a UNI game and now in the Stepec home. We showed it to the boys and they just love doing the dance.

spring break...2 weeks later!

We had a week off for Spring Break...of course our plans had to change due to sick kids. And I mean sick! Gross-ness for 5 days straight coming out all ends! Yuck! The worst was Henry didn't move or walk for an entire day. Poor fella. Despite the kids being sick, we had a great time relaxing, watching movies, making yummy food and hanging out and going no where! It was such a treat for me to stay in my pjs drinking coffee as long as I wanted during the day. Oh yes, and I did treat myself to a day out with a friend shopping and out for lunch.

We did make it to Iowa City for a few days. We helped Gary and Grammy take down wallpaper, went for walks, played with the toys, went to a puppet show and played at their fun mall. We basically destroyed there house, came down with the flu and left! Here are some pictures from our time there...

Can you say grumpy kids?
