We had a great weekend...especially since Knuckles (Uncle Nels) came to visit from the cities. Jack was following him all over and wanted Knuckles to do things for him, not mom. Here is a cute picture of all the boys watching You Tube on Friday night which is always worth some good laughs.
On Saturday we hung out and chatted and drank coffee while Jack took a good, long morning nap. He's been so tired lately. He's back on the nebulizer machine with some new meds they're trying and he actually has to go back to the doctor on Friday morning. So we'll see what happens. I wish they could just figure out what in the world is wrong with him...poor fellow! We had a good day not doing too much of anything except shooting some hoops and playing chase around the house.
Sunday meant church. The best part of church this weekend was that Steve preached. Can you believe it? It was youth Sunday and he did the message. He did an amazing job! Jack was so tired I had to wake him up from his morning nap to go to church. I did manage to get some cute pictures of him sleeping in his church clothes. When they're sleeping it's so cute! I got my wish for Mother's Day which was to take a nap for as long as I wanted to. I miss being able to take a nap and being able to wake up when I want instead of Jack waking up first.
After naps we made some Monster cookies for some teachers at school. Jack was really impressed with the peanut butter M&M's!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

All clear...
Here's a picture of Jack eating a cheese quesadilla at our annual Cinco De Mayo party with the Bolands. We had a lot of fun. I made enchiladas, corn bread, salad (right out of the bag) and the best were these brownies the Fudge Supreme from Pillsbury. They had chocolate chunks and fudge to add to the mix. Yum!
Jack and Steve headed back to the doctor on Friday for his re-check appt. He's all clear and we had to take him off the nebulizer, and see again if he can make it without that silly machine.
We had a relaxing weekend. On Friday night I went out with the teacher girls to Ankeny shopping and out to eat at Chili's. Man, they have some good chips and salsa! It was so fun. We needed a break from the craziness around school.
Saturday Jack and I attempted to head to Naomi's soccer game but we came home early due to the very cold and windy conditions out at the soccer fields. Karen and I did some garage sales but total we bought Saylor a bandanna. Not good luck for us. Sunday was busy with church, spaghetti lunch after and a training in the evening. I also watched 27 Dresses...what a cute movie! I loved it!
This weekend Uncle Nels is going to head down to Iowa for a visit. We've been practicing with Jack on how to say his name, but it comes out more like "knuckles" then Uncle Nels. Too cute!
home project
Yes, we've been daring and have tackled another home improvement project...well, we haven't done the work but it's made a difference in how our house looks. Kind of nice to spruce it up again, but now all the white trim needs to be repainted. Always seems like something. I'm going to attempt to put some pictures on here so you can see it. Enjoy the green grass and flowers in the pictures, especially those of you in northern MN!

Okay, so maybe it doesn't look all that different than before. The thing I'm really looking forward to is new gutters so we can plant things and redo the gardens in the front of the house.
